Report on excavations 1964-81. The bath building was begun c AD 75 and provides useful information on triple-bayed cross-vaulted frigidaria of 'Imperial' baths type. Alterations were made, and a destruction phase (?Severan) was later remedied. Closure c 230 was eventually followed by stripping out and use as a farm building. Demolished in 13th century. The finds include epigraphic material, a particularly fine strigil, samian and other pottery, lamps, glass, gems and other ornaments (including evidence for women and children), animal bones, metalworking evidence.
