Cesnola catalogs antiquities excavated in Cyprus between 1876 and 1879, documenting the finds with 59 mounted photographs and a map. The volume records objects recovered from Cypriot archaeological sites and is particularly valuable as a contemporary visual record of the excavations and their finds. Among the illustrated antiquities are objects of potential interest for the study of ancient jewelry, engraved stones, and other worked ornamental materials.
