Tradescant's Rarities" refers to the collection of curiosities and natural specimens amassed by John Tradescant the elder and his son, John Tradescant the younger. This collection, often referred to as "The Ark," was housed in South Lambeth near London and formed the basis for the Musaeum Tradescantianum, a catalogue published in 1656. The collection later became part of the founding collection of the Ashmolean Museum at Oxford University."
